I found out this week that I was accepted to participate in a UVa clinical trial testing the impact of acupuncture on polycystic ovarian syndrome. The next few months will involve A LOT of needles. There will also be a lot of giving of blood, but the alternative is storing pee in my freezer. I assume anyone who has ever eaten food from our house will be happy to hear that I am willing to risk track marks on my arms rather than keep urine next to our food. It’s all in the name of science.
